Every year around the world, there are serious fire incidents and people lose their loves or seriously get injured due to the fire or resulting smoke. A contributing factor will be the inability to find safe passage to exit the building. The best approach to fire safety is to prevent fires in the first place; this course helps to achieve this. This course serves as a crucial initiative in fostering a secure and resilient workplace environment. It will equip participants to verify that adequate measures are in place to prevent fires occurring, to detect a fire should it occur and to allow all occupants of the building to be efficiently and safely evacuated.

Training Objective

To enable participants with the competency and skills necessary to proactively identify and minimize fire hazards in various work environments. Participants will gain detailed cognizance of fire prevention principles, including proper storage and handling of flammable materials, electrical safety measures, egress design, and building code compliance. By the end of the course, participants would be proficient in formulating and implementing fire safety plans tailored to their specific workplaces, fostering a culture of safeguarding, preparedness, and swift response to minimize the impact of potential fires.

  • Roles & Responsibilities of Floor & Dy. Floor Wardens
  • Hands-on practice of operating portable fire extinguishers in oil pipeline leakage fire & electrical panel fire

  • Physiology of respiration and breathing apparatus and Survival in Smoke.
  • Survival in Smoke and Search & Rescue operation.
  • Common First-Aid Techniques, CPR & other Life Saving Practices during Emergency Scenarios
  • Fire Hydrant operating technique and communication procedure
  • Techniques to handle Pressurised Fire Hoses & Hands-on-practice of operating Trailer Fire Pump
  • Demonstration of BLEVE. Tackling Leakage and Fire in Road Tanker
  • Live Fire Fighting & Search and Rescue at Drilling/Work-over Rig
