IOSH Managing Occupational Health and Wellbeing

Managing health and well-being within an organization is a multifaceted commitment aimed at enhancing the overall welfare of its employees. This involves addressing various aspects such as physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The responsibility for creating such an environment primarily lies with managers, who play a crucial role in fostering employee well-being. However, a recent joint survey by Management Today and IOSH revealed a significant gap: 69% of managers lack the necessary training to identify signs of poor mental health among their staff. Recognizing this urgent need, the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) has developed the “Managing Occupational Health and Wellbeing” program. This initiative is designed to provide managers with practical insights, advice, and tools essential for promoting and maintaining a healthy and productive workplace environment.
